Trout Unlimited has been around for over 50 years and is the only conservation group in the country devoted solely to protecting our coldwater fisheries. By joining TU, you'll become part of a community of 300,000 or so members and supporters representing over 400 chapters and councils nationwide.

There are numerous membership level options - from individual and family memberships to lifetime memberships. Pick the membership that best suits you, and you’ll receive benefits like TROUT magazine, discounts on hotels and rental cars, fly fishing gear, member-only giveaways and more. You can learn more about the member benefits on the TU website.

New Members – join 5RTU at a reduced rate!

Join today and help support cold water conservation in Southwest Colorado at a special introductory rate of just $17.50. This low rate is for new members only and is half the regular rate. New members can purchase a membership by clicking HERE.

Best yet, $15 of your $17.50 will go directly to support 5RTU (more if you join at a higher membership level). Click on “Select Chapter” and choose #451Five Rivers.

Click the links below to become a new TU member or to renew your existing membership.

As a Chapter, we don’t collect dues and we don’t exclude anyone who is interested in our work on behalf of our cold-water fisheries.  We get a small portion of the membership dues paid to the National organization. More importantly, we get a substantial amount of support in the form of advocacy and grant assistance from National TU and Colorado TU, our State Council.

What Attracts People to TU?

CONSERVATION
The majority of TU members join because they are concerned about rivers and aquatic ecosystems that they have connected with through fishing. They have a vested interest in the health and viability of their “home waters” and want to ensure that they pass on a healthy resource to future generations.

FISHING
For many TU members, conservation concerns have largely stemmed from an initial interest in fishing as a sport and a love of the outdoors. They like to fish, or want to learn to fish, and being a member of TU presents opportunities and information.

FRIENDS
They want to make friends with shared interests or join to be with current friends. Friendship is a powerful motivator and often members have been encouraged by a friend to become involved.
